On Clipped Wings is about the metamorphosis of a rootless beggar girl whose personality is molded by Hindus, Muslims, and Christians spanning four continents. It is a compelling story of clashing religions, castes, and cultures, making it a novel  that is both timely and marked with a unique cultural richness and breath.

Jameela has a Masters Degree in Education from Loyola College, Baltimore. She also majored in English from Bowie State University, where she received awards for best fiction and for Excellence in Writing. She has dabbled in writing shorts stories and poetry. On ClippedWings is her first novel.
