Saturday, February 27 from 11am-2pm — Join us to learn the technique, history, and uses of this beautiful ancient art form. This class discusses the basics of Henna body art, teaching you how to make henna paste and cones. Design handouts and a henna cone will be given to each participant so that they can practice at home. There is a $5 material cost payable to the instructor at the beginning of the session.
About the Teaching Artist: Sharmila Karamchandani is an Indian-born artist and graphic designer who works in a series of art media, including jewelry design, photography, calligraphy, and henna painting. She has a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.
Workshop Fee: $30 — Please pay for the class by using our Network for Good page and indicating the workshop you are registering for in the designation box.
Materials: $5 — Payable to the instructor at the beginning of the session
