“How to Prospect Using Linkedin”

You’ve made your Linkedin profile, you’ve uploaded your resume and you’ve found most of your professional contacts on Linkedin….so when does the career advancement start?

Similarly to other social media sites, it’s very easy to let your Linkedin profile slip into a state of stagnation, especially if you don’t feel like you’re making the professional headway promised by the cheery, smiling users featured on the homepage.

Fortunately for us, people like Katie Wagner have figured out how to navigate the 150+ million members on Linkedin and are more than happy to share their online networking strategy with the rest of us social media mortals. Her article, titled “How to Prospect Using Linkedin,” gives a step-by-step description of how you can use the contacts you already have to make new ones, without having to go through the awkward process of cold-calling.
